Fixing And Touch Up On Reels

Featured Replies

I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on covering up nicks and dings on reels. I have a couple where some paint flaked off and just want to know what's best to use or is will I only make it uglier and should leave it.

I've tried repainting reels and think there's nothing you can do that will be as durable as an original factory finish. I'd just leave it.

I like the look of a warrior that has seen many battles.

I've worked on a number of reels that have been custom painted and they can be a problem if not taped off correctly. My suggestion is to care for reels as best you can and appreciate the "character" they gain over the years.

thanks, ill leave the battle wounds. i had a good idea using a metallic sharpie on my silver max reel but after a trip to the lake, the sharpie faded, but i did get all my revo sx and silver max baitcast covers so they are protected.
