  2. Don't start, it gets addicting
  3. Frogs are killing out here in Arizona. Caught these last week on a spro. I would twitch twitch and let it sit for 3 seconds and wham they hit it. Oh and these too on another trip. All on my camo color spro frog.
  4. I have no more room in my box for new Swimbaits.
  5. I go to the u and i live near the u of a. My buddy caught a good size one around 4.5 lbs but as we got the scale out, his grip on fish was weak. Bum we couldn't weight it. Pretty lake. frog bite around the weeds was good, lots of blow up but tons of misses.
  6. Just read that you Like to fish Parker canyon lake. I was there 2 weeks ago And caught a bunch off the jig near those rock walls in the back of the lake. Then it got way windy to be able to stay in one spot.
  7. I like to use any brown variations skirts with the california craw color. I cut my rage to the size of the rage craw chunk which is right at the part it starts to get skinny. Best trailor I've used for sure.
  8. Go with vicious fluoro! Super impressed with it.
  9. Nice fish! I'm jealous. What hour of the four hours you fish that you caught it in. I always told myself if I catch a big one like over 8 in my first hour,I would just pack Up and go home. I probably wouldn't go home, but haven't been in that situation.
  10. I read this article And thought I would share. http://anglersresource.net/WhattoLookforinaTopShelfSpinningRod.aspx
  11. I rode my motorcycle to the lake to do some shore fishing. Everything was good until I saw this Guy want down the boat ramp and come sit next to me. Spoke hardly any English and said he was from Mexico with no papers. Asked if I can give him a ride to Phoenix!!! In the back of my head, I thought he had buddies trying to hotwire my bike. Anyways, said I had to change lure, walked over got all my stuff and left.
  12. My best advice is a good rod and reel to launch the bait. The longer the cast the more ground you Can cover.
  13. Mine is the GY fat ika! Man they just kill it and gobble it up
  14. I like my 7'6 mh. Its awesome for jigs and I like it for Carolina rig.
  15. i bought a Duckett 7'6 extra heavy and i think its perfect for the A RIG.
  16. I just went catfishing this last weekend And was catching them at 120 feet deep in the underwater channel that run with the dams. It was awesome!!! If I'm using livers, I use a treble hook so they can't steal the bait. I normally use a heavy egg sinker to get it down fast. I.almost rigged like a Carolina rig so when they bite theres no tension otherwise they seem to not gobble it up. My bait of choice is shrimp, and I usually use a 1/0 hook BC it fits perfectly with the shrimps shape. Anyways, that's how I do it.
  17. I wouldn't use them but that's me. Those bait aren't gonnna be balanced so fishing them with a slow retrieve will cause them to lean to a side. Especially now with the colder water, fish are gonna be swimming slowly. Also with that bait, fishing it slow will cause it to loose it life like swimming motion. One thing I found about the hudds that I Like than the other baits I bought was their sinking abilities. When their baits, I know how many seconds to wait for that bait to reach certain depts, while other baits its a guessing game. What kind of reel and pole are you using? I found that a good setup will throw the swim baits farther and cause less fatigue. It can wear you out throwing big baits all day. Also I read that having swimbaits with hooks on the bottom of the bait really hurts the big fish. When they swallow the bait whole, those hooks hook their gills and it can cause servere damage.
  18. What kind of "big" swim bait are you throwing? I only use huddleston. My collection has got 7 in it with all different colors from weedless to treble hooks. I've bought other swimbaits but their movement and balance aren't as nice as the huddlestons. Their really isn't a technique. I reel them in as to where I want the bait to be swimming in the water column. Best advice I learned is that swimbaits are an all day affair. You can't just throw it once or twice expecting a hog, you have to fish with it all day to have a chance at getting a swimbait fish.
  19. corn for sure! everything loves corn, i catch them on corn all the time.
  20. Went out targeting these Israel carp and got this whopper! Was using light gear that I use for trout. Good ten min fight. Got two today.
  21. My girlfriend got me a hawk eye f33p portable fish finder for Christmas and it works awesome. I compared it to my buddy's hummingbird and the depth was relatively close to each other. Also, it shows weeds and rocks, so to test it, I went to areas I knew had weeds, and the graph worked very well. Just tonight I fabricated a way to have it mount on my Coleman boat.
  22. Threw a swimbait all day today and got one hit. I had confidence in them and thought they looked great but guess the bass weren't interested. Maybe another day.
  23. pretty excited to get all my swimbaits to have gills now but have you notice a difference with the bites?
  24. If you come to tucson, you can hop on the S.S crawdad. (my 10 footer) lol perfect for a lake called arivaca. Also theres a local forum in az call azbasszone.com.
