Hey Guys

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I have a American bass anglers tournament on Sunday and I was wondering what type of rage tail baits I should think about throwing over all the thick matted grass. The water temperature is in the low 70s with 1-2 feet of visibility. The forecast for sunday is 87 degrees and Sunny.

Creature bait, like the rage hawg.

Why does it have to be a Rage Tail bait?

Lund is right. The Rage Toads are good around grass. I would throw some Anacondas too if I were you.

As always, to each his own, but my favorite rage tail by far is the Strike King Lobster (dynamite!)

Rather than use it as a trailer though, I fish the Lobster as a standalone lure on a T-rig Jig .

In effect, the Lobster is a heavy-duty Rage Craw with more presence, more vibration and more durability in heavy cover.

Unfortunately the runts love it too, but if you feel that the Lobster is too big, just cut off 1 or 2 head ribs.

This will shorten the overall length without any sacrifice in vibes or durability..

Roger
