When are the best times of the day/year(spawn, post spawn, etc.) to use these?

I've always had good luck with creatures in the spring time post-spawn period. My favorite is the BEAST

They should be good year around SBO. The key is locating the fish during their yearly patterns then finding the fall rate and presentation that they want. Since you can rig most creature baits Tx, Carolina, Keel weighted, weightless or pegged for flipping, there are many styles that can work for year around fishing.

From early spring to late fall.

I use them all year, from Dec-Dec

I'd say all Year too but 3 months would have to be exclude. Not too good of a bait for Icefishing.

I use them in heavy cover, especially once the weeds get thick starting in late May and early June.
