What do you guys suggest use in really dark water (less than 1 foot of visability) around cypress trees. Depth averages around 6 ft. Thanks...

black trick worm no weight dead sticked.zoom ultravibe speedworm no weight but swam just under the surface,#11 rapala floatin minnow in silver/black back.if there is bass there these will catch em!

Some of my choices for the nasty water around here are:

-10 inch black worms,junebug.

-5-6 inch black/blue senkos or any dark variation of.

-black/blue or chart/white chatterbaits with gold blades.

-3/8 to 1/2 oz spinnerbait tandem style with #5 colorado and #5 1/2 -to #7 willow blades with chart-white or white and black(shad) skirts.This is a shallow water slow rolling hawg catching combo.

-loud topwater such as a super spook jr,wounded spook,black torpedo,chug bug,spro poppin frog in black.

-3/8 black on black cavitron buzzbait

-Gambler flappin tail worms 8 inches.These are killer in dirty water.

-Rage tail craws in dark colors with rattles for flippin and pitching.

-rattle traps 1/2 oz in black,baby bass,gold,silver blue back/orange belly

These are some of my favorites.As a GENERAL rule use darker colors and baits that put off vibration and or noise.

Make sure you fish very tight to or directly into cover.

Junebug senko, swim senko and zoom baby brushog.  Did I mention that a good color is junebug?????

use real dark color baits , they cause a silhouette that can be seen by the bass . kinda the same principal as you would use night fishing.

Thanks for the tips guys. I was going in the wrong directions. I was using bright colors, thinking that they could not see the dark lures.

Spinnerbait with colorado blades.  I fish this kind of water a lot, and the thumping of the colorado blades makes it easy for the bass to find the lure.

Black,Black/blue,Junebug,Junebug/Chart.senkos,8"+ lizards.10"+worms.Single colorado blade spinnerbaits.

Big spinnerbaits with a black skirt and a single Colorado black blade, buzzbaits, big jig and pigs, prop baits, and shallow running, loud crankbaits/wakebaits like a Bandit Footloose, Strike King Spence Scout, and the Mann's 1 Minus.

    I would definitly try a black/blue jig around the base of the Cypress trees.
