Trouble With Weedy Lake

Featured Replies

I am fishing a lake that has a lot of weeds you can see them almost to the surface in almost ten feet of water. The fish are in post spawn are still pretty shallow but we usually throw jigs and they are just not going through the weeds. They are tough to fish and the only luck we have had is on rocky shorelines but there is only a few small ones. We have a tournament coming up and we need to figure out how to fish areas with the weeds so any suggestions would be great.

I've had pretty good luck with a weightless T-rigged Zoom trick tail worm.Cast into holes in weeds, let sink and slowly retrieve.Oh I always bury the hook point just inside the "skin" of the worm.Good Luck!

t rigged plastics weightless and with a heavier 1 oz weight to get through the weeds also ive had alot of luck twitching jerkbaits along the outside edge of weeds this year
