Caught a monster (5lbs 1 oz is a monster for me...)and four smaller bass last night on my favorite color brush hog - watermelon gold.  

The other baits in the subject line produced a goose egg.  (I got one bite that I missed on the Space Monkey though...)

I am gonna guess the one you missed weighed approximately 6lbs.

Likewise, send your Space Monkeys to me. I will find a good home for them. I don't know anyone that doesn't like the brush hog though.

How'd you know it was a six pounder?

j/k, I missed him clean.  It could have been a 10 pounder, could have been a 3 oz bluegill...

regular brush hog... not so much.

baby brush hog? thats my ish!

Yeah, I use the baby brush hog and the super brush hog (same length as the baby, but thicker).

I just picked up some baby brush hogs to try out this weekend. I primarily bought them to use as a jig trailer, but I've read a lot of good things about just using them solo.

I've only had one space monkey get wet so far with no results, but I'm pretty sure that was due to inexperience. Plus it was a really slow day. They'll get a second chance this weekend as well.

The only problem I have with all these creature baits is that they look so good, the first one out of the pack usually ends up in my little one's kreature aquarium! Since many of them have scent, you can imagine her room smells much like a tackle box.
