Jon Boat

Featured Replies

Does anybody know how to possibly make a 14ft, 32in. wide jon boat a bit more stable or fishable. All I'm using is a trolling motor to get around.

Thanks

I've seen some type of tubular floatation that mounts on the outside of the boat, above the waterline. When the boat tips enough for them to hit the water, they provide floatation/lift to limit or greatly reduce listing.

They work like outriggers, but are attached directly to the side of the boat.

Sell it and buy at least a 48" wide jon. B)

I agree. By the time you buy outriggers, you'd be better off buying a Jon with a 48" wide floor.
