Bass Boat Trailer Bunk Carpet Torn

Featured Replies

I now have two boat trailers in serious need of replacement of the carpet on the loading bunks. What material do you recommend? Is there a Lowes or Home Depot carpet material that's good? Do you glue it and staple it? Any tips for replacing the carpet on the trailers?

On my other trailer I just use left over cheap outside carpet that I had when I carpeted my 15' Thundercraft. I glued plus use the heavy duty staple like nails for the carpet edges to help hold the carpet down just incase glue doesn't hold. I did by the carpet from Lowe's as well.

I do need to carpet my jon boat trailer just never got around to it but when do I'm just going to do the same.

I buy outdoor carpet at a carpet shop. I know it is a brand but I ask for astro turf so they know what I want. I glue it down and staple it on the bottom of the bunks.

Get bunk carpet. Cabela's, BPS, West Marine, Gander, etc. all sell it.
