Hard Bait Color

Featured Replies

Looking for a jack-of-all trades hardbait color. One that will catch fish pretty much any time of year.

Im thinking either shad or firetiger but want some opinions.

I know there are certain conditions for every color but all i want is a good universal color.

Sexy Shad

If I could only use one color , it would be white. B)

White/Black back

This is the best in my opinion also. If your looking for an all around color this will give you good contrast in most conditions because its half dark half light.

Not a bad choice!

While I know that you can use one color for all conditions,I've got to ask, "Why would you?" I don't see the point of limiting yourself if you don't have to.

IF I had to choose one color (and I'm glad that I don't) it would be shad.

I'd probably go with Silver with a Black top, maybe with a White belly.

I throw shad/sexy shad in every condition with sucess.

I basically rely on two colors - for light to medium stained water I use tennessee shad - for heavy stain to muddy water it's hard to beat Black and Chartruese.

Top water – bone orange belly

Cranks – chartreuse blue back
