What Kind Of Movie Is It?

Okay boy and girls, I'm confused!

I know that a lot of us are going through an extended heat wave lately. When I just visited the weather channel's website, I was greeted with the following warning:

... EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT FRIDAY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND RAPIDS HAS ISSUED AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING... WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT FRIDAY. HAZARDOUS WEATHER... * HEAT AND HUMIDITY WILL COMBINE TO PRODUCE HEAT INDEX VALUES AROUND 105 DEGREES TODAY AND THURSDAY.

So I found it a little interesting that TCM (Turner Classic Movies) is now showing.... A Miracle on 34th Street!

:surprised-038:

A quick Google search gives a number of choices that say this is a Christmas story, but somewhere back in my mind (as fried as it is), I seem to recall this being a love story.

Either way, I just don't think a story about Santa Claus plays all that well right now!

Never heard of Christmas in july?

After this past week of Ridiculous Heat and Humidity my dogs and I are certainly looking forward to temps get back to more normal ranges, with the over night temp closer to 45 rather than 75 !

That being said, a Christmas movie now it just in poor taste.

And here's what it felt like when I got in my truck yesterday . . .

I don't care how hot it is, beats winter so no complaints here. In South Florida there is no break in the heat, it's the same everyday for 4 months.

Woa! Bevis, you know what that is?

Being outside the last few days brought to mind the scene in Platoon where Charlie Sheen is slapping ants on his neck, only they were mosquitos. Familiar?

Christmas in July has been done for years on TV and radio.

Sirus is playing Christmas stories on its Classic Stories channel.

Some companies have Christmas in July sales. ;)

It's really neither. It's a story on how much we really affect the people , places and things that are in our everyday lives. :)
