I fish for the largemouths and i know that the ones in the pond i will be fishing average about 2-3 pounds, what should i use as far as lures, and rubber worms? I have 7.5" worms so should i cut them down to about 4-5" ?

My best friend catches monsters on 12" and 16" worms. I think that's just too big. The biggest I carry is 10" powerbait.

But to answer your question, yes they're capable. Every plastic is really. I've caught huge bass on 4" senkos, and I've caught bass about 5" long on my 10" worm.

Your friend uses 12"-16" worms and catches monsters and you think that's too big ? You might want to rethink that statement.

2-3lbs is usually the average for most places. those arent small around here.

2-3 pound fish are some of the best fighters You could fish anything from 4" to 12" and probably catch 'em. Just let the fish tell you what they want and you'll be good to go!

average 2-3 pounds....lucky! my fish average about 1- 1/2 pounds, and i catch em on 9 inch worms, bigger 1/2 ounce spinnerbaits, 4 in flippin tubes, oh and a strike king king shad. little bass will and do eat big lures

As far as worms are concerned, I usually fish the 10" variety. 8" bass have slammed it regularly so I don't worry about the worm being too big. If you average is 2-3 lbs, thats a decent average and nothing to be sad about.
