Have You Ever Seen This On A Fishfinder?

Featured Replies

My fishfinder is set on fish ID mode so it shows little fish shapes instead of small arches. Sometimes the fish shapes have small red numbers next to them.

What do the small red numbers mean? Thanks! :D

Get rid of the fish ID mode , it is very unreliable and shows false readings of fish. B)

depth?

It's not depth...depth is on the side.

It doesn't just convert the arches to fish shapes? Seems like it would be the same accuracy only with a different shape.

What am I missing here? Thanks!

It is depth of the fish. I will never use the fish ID mode, you will be able to better interpret what is beneath the boat if you get rid of the fish ID.

agreed it is the depth of the fish. Also agree get rid of fish id mode. You can definately get a better idea of whats below u with it off

Ok...so it's the depth of the fish the number is beside. I will try it with fish ID off. Thanks for the help!

Fish ID = useless

Unless you like seeing bubbles and other random objects turned into pretty fish pictures.

Turn it off and learn how to read your sonar. You'll find that you'll be much more able to figure out what's on the screen without it.

It's a "Depth Sounder"

But when you enable the Fish Icon, it becomes a "Bubblegum Machine"
