Grabbed one of these at the store the other day because it just looks crazy. Anyone ever fished one of these things?

My buddy used one once with me and I was killing him on a devils horse. I don't think he caught 1 until he put on a pop r.

Used to use it all the time. Somehow it was sent to the back burner but it does catch fish. A buzzbait you can stop can be dynamite.

Yup ! but back in the old days when I purchased mine they weren 't called Sputterbuzz, they were called Sputterbug. Kool old style baits, the only thing about I hate about them is the living rubber tail, with time it becomes brittle and breaks away, at least in my case, tail replacements are very hard to find.

Unlike buzzbaits which don 't produce for me that bait does.

BTW, change the hooks for good quality ones, the ones the bait comes with are junk. Also, add a drop of glue to the screws on the hook hangers to join them to the body and when you do change the hooks do not unscrew the hook hanger, cut the hook, add a split ring and your new good quality hook.

They do work quite well, but the action is more like a prop bait than a buzzer.
