Yeah that was cool. I sure wish you had a gun, It would have been real easy to blast that bad boy at that range. You could have had elk jerky for years.

I've seen elk on the refuge many times, but this was the first time I was ever able to get this close. Check out this video on how to make a camera mount for a kayak. I used the same materials, but took a mount from a camera tripod and attatched it to the the screw-on pvc cap. VIDEO

lol I hear ya!! just make sure to get us a steady shot of it when you do come up on it or a unicorn or whatever else is next lol.
