well as i mostly fish ponds, from shore........

my highest producing, and consequently go to bait would be the jointed rapala (black on silver).

i will fish that for much longer than any other bait when im trying to find out what is producing that day!

My go to lure is the one that the fish are biting ;D. If I can't buy a bite for anything & I need to get my hands stinky i'll throw on a suspending jerkbait. Probably in a ghost minnow with a chartreuse dressed treble hook on the back.

Spinnerbiat and crawworm. If they don't bite them then I'm not around fish. Not time limit just changing locations until I find them

It all depends on the season. I have four tackle bags full of go to lures.

I can't narrow it down to  a go to lure, as bassman31783 said it would be whatever the fish are biting. That said I have a selection of high confidence lures that varies depending on season, weather conditions and type of lake. Lately the silent version RC 1.5 crank has landed a lot of my fish. If I had to pick one it would be the jig, spring through fall, year afte year it delivers.

To me it more depends on where I'm at...in Louisiana it was a wacky rigged chart. watermelon seed worm (type or size didn't matter)...up here in NY (for me in the rivers) it's either brown/pumpkin seed curly tail grub or any shallow running jerk bait...
