Water Rise Affecting Fishing?

Featured Replies

So I live in the northeast as you can probably tell by my name, Im lookin to go out for a bit monday since its supposed to be nice, Just curious how all this rain will affect the fishing? If so what should i do differently? Thanks

The high water should bring the baitfish into the shallows to seek out new food sources and new places to hide..and where the baitfish go, the bass will follow.

What should you do? Get a generator, sump pump, pump out the basement, try to find a gas station with power so you can get gas for the gen.,and the chainsaw you need to cut up the tree that fell on the house.

Why would i do that when theres no trees down around me, I have power, I have a sump pump and basements bone dry?

Come to my house, bring the gen.,sump pump, gas, and chainsaw. ; )

Here in WI. we have the opposite problem. A few of the lakes I regularly fish, the water levels are so low I can't launch my boat.

As bad as the flooding is in the East, I still feel sorry for the people in Texas. We can always use Chatterbaits and spinnerbaits with big Colorado blades and try our luck. But they don't have water in their lakes, let alone fish.
