I bought one for dicks sporting goods yesterday for 1.99, I said what the heck its cheap.

I must have caught about 6 fish today(landed), lost 2 and caught a snapping turtle..that was horrible

I had to cut the hooks and try to save it went from hooked in the mouth, to mouth and foot, to both feet..took hooks from another crank I had and started catching again.

anyway I had more success with this than the red eye shads that I usually catch one or 2 with at the same lake. I missed one fish and caught 2 after that on 3 consecutive casts. I felt like Bill Dance or Jimmy Houston for a second. I was like... is this really happening right now?? I set one hook so hard it flew out of the fishes mouth and I had to duck from the lure

Could have been luck, but this thing produced more fish than Im use to, in less time and for less money

Nice job! Almost any lure will catch fish at one time or another. In that first pic it looks like your using twine for line. Nice, clear pics, can't be a camera phone is it?

That braid might be alittle worn, making it look "frayed". Possibly could lose you a good fish. I'd pull out a few feet and discard it.

I love the voltage lipless cranks there my #1 producer in the spring red craw colors the chrome in the summer sunny months. There almost always on sale at dicks some times really cheap just gotta keep a look out for the red tags

Just beware toothy buggers love the chrome idk if u fish waters with pike or pickeral but when throwing chrome its like 3:1 pike to bass

You were at the right place at the right time , I doubt if those 1.99 baits were the reason you had such a good day for yourself.

Don't u have gar pike or no? Last time I was in flordia I was 11 at disney tormenting my sisters with all the lizards running around though I have isla marada(sp) in my sights for vacation in a year and a half then ill be fishing

They finally have the same color back in stock after so long. I had to buy one and two other colors. I had to refer to this thread to check pics and sure enough it was the same pattern. Hopefully I replicate success
