Back in 1989 I purchased a 5´6" Berkley Lightning Rod Pro Series. Nice rod, caught many fish with it, since I don´t use it much lately I decided to give it to Lil Raul for him to use about a year ago, well, yesterday after a year and not too many fishing trips he did what I didn´t do in more than two decades, nothing important really, somehow he managed to break the ceramic insert on the tip guide, nothing that a new tip guide replacemant can´t handle. But I´m sad, it only lasted 22 years.

Raul maybe you should contact Berkley and see what their replacement policy is? :)

LOL.

I bought my 6' lighning(spinning) rod in 88 and its still 100%(less some nicks and scratches). Its been so lucky for me I always take it along. Love the yellow tip that glows in the dark too! My 1st rod with EVA grips.

I wonder what berkley would say if you contacted them?

Edit: My spinning rod is a power pole. My lightnin rod was my first BC for CR/TR worms. Getting so old can't remember what I have lately or just plain have to much to remember them all! hehe!

One of the best rods for the money that I have ever owned. 6' light Berkley Lighting rod that gets used for lots of different fishing, probably over 10 years old and still going strong!
