2 of my poles iv noticed the tip guide insert is missing there old lower end poles I plan on getting rid of after this season but I'm wondering if its from the tungsten like its to hard and its breaking the guide if I reel em in to much some times. I'm just worried if its from tungsten weights it will happen to my veritas.

I never let the weight or lures touch the guides from reeling them to the tip of the rod. I'd say the tungsten could easily crack the insert if it hits it too hard. It could come from other things though as well.

I usually try not to reel it that far up but some times I'm not paying attention eyes and mind are else where I do on accident. It could be the poles ar just junk lol one is a BPS. Extreme the other is a quantium tennacy ap combo from dicks.

Place a soft bead on your line (they are called glow beads) in front of the weight. Made out of a plastic material .

Better guides should be less of a problem. Being a little more vigilant in your rod handling may be helpful too. I don't see any reason to stop using tungsten though.

Oh I'm not gonna stop using tungsten I made out like a bandit on trutungsten weights when dicks had the 50% off sale but I had noticed they broke when I made the switch 2 rods within a week of the switch but like I said there cheapo rods that plan on being replaced after this season when I get back from deployment all my outfits are being upgraded and I'll probably be looking to you DVT. To upgrade a few reels and build me a rod as a present to myself when I return home.
