Fishing Rod For Lox

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, I am in the market for a new rod/reel combo. It can be a spinner or a baitcaster it don't matter. What do you guys recommend? I do most of my fishing in the everglades, lox, broward canals and lakes. It don't matter the price. What have you guys been using?

It's not really where you fish, it's more like what you fish. What kind of fishing are you looking to do?

Well since you are probably more than likely going for big bass, check out these guys........

They have a good special right now on their spinning combo through Cabelas.

A great all around worm, spinnerbait and frog rod is the Shimano Cumara 7-2" model # CUCMHXF Plenty of backbone for the heavy grass and sensative enough for the worm nibbles.

For an all around combo I have a Kistler magnesium all purpose rod teamed up with a Revo reel. The magnesium is 6'-9" medium heavy rod and it can be used for just about any application, it is super sensitive and very light. The revo is the SX. This is a great rod and reel combo.

If price dosn't matter then we can get wild and crazy with it... cool.gif

If price didn't matter for me and I could get a new rig right now, I would get a GLoomis BCR893 GLX (Senko Rod) and a Shimano Calais 100A. I would use it for un-weighted worms, soft jerkbaits, very light jigs and very light weighted worms.
