Who Sells Aftermarket Gears For My Steez 103Hla

Featured Replies

Anyone know Who sells aftermarket gears for my steez 103HLA. I want to upgrade it to the faster 7.0.1 ratio. Thanks for any help

You'll have to contact Daiwa directly. You'll need the main gear, pinion gear and possibly the yoke. Schematics need to be compared to verify. You may want to consider having this done for you unless you are experienced with the disassembly of your reel.

There are no "aftermarket gears." They only come in righty.

I checked with Daiwa on upgrading some of my 6.x to 7.x and I was told they do not offer parts to accomplish the ratio change.

I also checked wiht a major Daiwa service center here is Dallas, TX and was told the same.

Is his reel an older Steez model. I have a 100 and 103 Steez Ultra Magnesium reels and they both are 7.1 retreives.

Older, not that really, what he is trying to do is to convert his High speed Steez into a Super High speed Steez like yours, his are 6.3:1 yours are 7:1, the transformation can`t be made, his reel is a lefty, super high speed Steezes are only manufactured in righty so there are no lefty gears for that gear ratio.
