Hello From Coral Springs, Fl

Featured Replies

Hey there folks! My name is Brian and I've recently moved to Coral Springs, Fl. I've had a blast fishing the canals of Coral Springs and surrounding communities. Although the snakehead are annoying, there's still some big bass to be had if you put forth some time to find them. Been bass fishing for years in TN and Texas. Novice to intermediate tournament fishing in local bass clubs. No longer have a boat, or access to one, so I've officially become a bank maggot. Interested in chatting more with folks that fish locally, either land or boat. Also interested in learning more about seasons and behavior of bass this far south, as it's quite a bit different than what I'm used to.

Thanks,

Brian

Brian welcome to S. Florida and to BR. Keep an eye on the SouthEast section. We get together every once in awhile. Sometimes there are pretty good reports of some of the local fishing hotspots as well. Kill them snakeheads!

Welcome. I had some snakes chase my bait off of Sample road near coral ridge in my friends apt complex, but there are plenty of good bass spots near Heron Bay in Parkland. Havent had any run ins there

Hello and welcome guys! I actually live in heron bay and are a daily angler in those waters. Ive lived in coral springs all my life born and raised and can honestly say best bass fishing in the area is in heron bay. So good in fact that I bought myself a 14ft Jon boat and slapped on a 40lb thrust minn Kota on it. We have. We have been pullin out 4,5,6 pounders. Attacking the weeds and fishing the shallows beds and structures all around the golf course. Big EZ has been the hot bait past few weeks. As far as the seasons go the best months in my experience have been during April and May. And starts to decrease as the year goes on. Fishing after cold fronts are sometime extremely productive and at times the afternoon bite is rather stronger than the morning or evening bites. Tight lines everybody!
