Spro Bronzeye King Daddy

Featured Replies

Personally i don't think i would use this! It would take a HUGE fish to get this in it's mouth and get a good hook set! The 65 is perfect size IMO!

A big frog for sure. I just saw these on tw and was about to post about them also  ;D

Yea they're a little on the large side i think.  I do like some of the upcoming colors they will release for the popper frog though.

I don't really like how the hooks are set up on it.

Probably a little big IMO. I do best on the bronze eye junior and I hope they come out with a bronze eye popper junior.

I agree too.Personally though I think the biggest advantage to this frog would be for heavy vegatation and mats. It will move more water and create more commotion on a thick mat. Then of course that goes back to the original point about hooksets though... :-?

Go big or go home.  This frog is gonna kill them when your trying to imitate larger forage.  I can't wait to give them a try and throw it at first light around some grass mats.

x2. big bass down here in florida didn't get big by eating minnows. i will give it a go when the frog bite starts crackin.

I agree with dink, the increase size is going to decrease hook up ratio.

Not being a Spro fan to start with, I too think they are a bit big and expensive. $12.00? The Snagproof Bobby's Perfect and Bass Kicker are big enough for me. I checked out the Ish's Phat Frog. $9.99 for some plastic and a hook? Plus they stole the name from Mann's. I have a couple frogs that are pretty round toward the back and use a treble hook that I think was called the Phat Phrog.

I can't wait for them to hit the stores.  I will get a few for sure!

I catch too many dinks on the 65, and the frogs around here are HUGE.  I catch bullfrogs on my 65 bronzeye.

bocabasser, Just to let you in, the frog bite has been in full swing for months now! And bigger is not always better for big bass either! All my 5lb + bass have been on the popper or JR Spro frogs.

Didn't even notice the high price on this one. I don't believe I will be getting one.

I probably wont get the new bronzeye but I did pre-order two Ish PHAT frogs. The separate hook chamber seems like a really good idea.
