Bullet + Keel

Featured Replies

Just curious, does anyone ever use a Texas rig with a keel weighted bait.

I never tried it but I was thinking of ways to get a swimming bait deeper in the water column when the current is a little swift.

I don't like using real heavy bullet weights unless I'm punching.

I've been using keel weighted hooks for years. Started with Mustads, but the newer Owners with the centering pin work the best - very sharp!

I use keel weighted hooks all the time. I just never used it in conjuction with a bullet weight.

Wait, I need to learn how to read...not together. I can't see it being "wrong," but what issue is this solving? Use a heavier keel weight if it won't stay down.
