Just Cause One Bass

Featured Replies

Just because one bass isn't biting hard at your lure, doesn't mean the whole mood for all the bass at that time is slow? For instance today I was getting bites but not the type of bites you could set a hook on just soft playful non committed bites it felt like. I guess it really depends how ravenous the bass are. Well take care and have a good one.

I agree you can't judge what mood all the fish are in by the bite of one bass but if it continues it would be wise to do something different. Light bites might also be bluegill or crappie pecking at your bait.

Sounds like dinks.

Depends on where you are fishing. BIG lakes, like some of you get to fish, you are right. Fish might be negative in one area, and biting in another.

My biggest lake I fish, is 800 acres, with lots of others 400 or less. You can find random biters if the fish are "off" but in general, if they are off, they are off.

It's not so bad actually. Helps to develop a decent pattern pretty fast.
