Check out my new gift...

I live in a small lake community in the St. Louis Mo area and an older guy (70's) is a big enthusiast fisher man like my self... We always talk fishing and since I'm leaving to go to Korea he wanted to show my his fishing room.... OMG this old guy could start a bait shop and not spend a dime on inventory... rubber made crates full of lures still in the boxes brand new... Old stuff, new stuff cases of discontinued colors and baits ... walls covered with rod racks and reel cases... so he grabs a bag and starts sticking stuff in it ... "I like these ones alot" he says and then sticks them in a bag... going over all the stuff took over an hour... then he hands me the bag and says show them Koreans how we Americans do it. IT was awesome .. like Christmas in august. here's a photo of what he gave me... not even a tenth of a percent of the gear this guy had...

Wow! Merry Christmas!  Some nice looking cranks there.  Mann's, Bagley's, Bomber's, a Storm ThinFin.  Some of those should catch a fish or two in Korea...Good Luck!

Man that is awesome!

Thank you for your service to this great country!!

Incheon - that's way too cool. But, you folks in the service can't be rewarded enough.

Please do me a fave? Save a few of those older, discontinued ones to someday do the same for the young soldier behind you. You now have more than one Constitution.

That's awesome. I hope someone does something good for him.

He hooked you up well.  Second from the left, on the bottom row is an old Bagleys from the '80s.  Good bait.  The second one that caught my attention is the 1970's Bomber model A in firetiger.

This is one heck of a friend that you have got yourself. Make sure to catch lots of fish, tell him the stories, & make sure he knows how much you appreciate the gifts he gave you & his friendship.

:P

Good lucks to you in catching the "BIG KAHUNA!"

Yeah, he is a great guy... I'm definitely going to pass the love on someday... (hopefully to one or both of my boys....can't make them fish if they don't wanna) But I started young at 5 and have loved fishing ever sense.. My grandpa is an avid fisherman too and got me hooked.. I still remember the first fish I ever caught like it was yesterday... I caught a little Bass probably 5" on a black crappie jig off the dock at Digger O'dells at the Lake of the Ozarks. I wanted to keep it and when my grandpa said I had to let it go I cried... lol. I definitely enjoy all Fishermen when we are out on the water doing what we love. we are always super friendly and willing to share our knowledge to some on less experienced and hide it from our equals... lol
