All Pro Rods
I go to church with a guy that fishes a lot and has a ton of experience. I asked him what he thought about them. His reply was I can't tell you here in the church lol.!! He did say they have great sensitivity but he didn't really recommend them.

Kistler Customer Service
How old is the oldest Kistler you have? 27 that's pretty impressive!

Thanks guys for the input. The horror stories kinda worries me somewhat. To own 10 Kistlers they must be doing something right!

Kistler Customer Service
I'm looking into purchasing a Kistler KLX rod. For those of you who have a Kistler how's their customer service? Their rods are warranted for 1yr but also have an extended warranty past the 1yr. It does worry me somewhat that they offer only a 1yr warranty. What really draws me to them is that the rods are made in the USA and blanks are NFC. The price seems good but is quality and customer service worth it or should I spend more and buy a rod from another company with a longer warranty? It's not that I abuse my equipment at all. If I'm going to spend my hard earned money I want to know that I'm going to be taken care of if needed and a product of high quality.

Essential Beginning Lures
Senkos and Zoom brush hogs. I love these 2 plastic lures. Also pick you up an assortment of bullet sinkers and some Gamakatsu Offset Round Bend Worm Hooks in a 3/0 and 4/0. This will get you started with some plastics!

Line For C-Rig And Jig
Casting a jig mainly. This is one reason why I took into consideration a longer rod. Then again I don't want to much rod either.

Line For C-Rig And Jig
WRB.. I would love to have a rod dedicated to jig only but at this point I have to work with what I've got. I only have one set up now that is a 7'3" my that I throw pretty much everything on except a jig and c-rig on. I'm about to purchase another rod either 7'3" or 7'6" heavy for jigs and c-rig. I guess my thinking is that I need a heavy rod action for a jig and c-rig and one rod could do both. Also I want a rod with more power. I've thrown heavy rods before and I like it with a heavier lure. Maybe I'm way off..??

Line For C-Rig And Jig
Copolymer.. I have to say I don't think I've ever heard of that kind of line. You think 17 would work for both? Of course using a smaller leader for c-rig.

Line For C-Rig And Jig
I'm looking for line that I could use for both a carolina rig and a 1/2 jig. I was thinking going braid for both for the sensitivity and strength. Something that concerns me is draging a c-rig with braid (mono leader) is fraying the braid with the weight or just the bottom contact. My other thougth is going floro for both maybe about #17?? Any suggestions or comments on what would work best or maybe what you use? For what its worth going with a 7'3" H rod.... possibly a 7'6"
