St Croix Mojo Bass Crankbait Rod

Featured Replies

I purchased a st croix mojo bass crankbait rod a few months back and love it. I bought the 7' med-hev moderate tip. Does anyone have any experience with these rods? Did I make a good choice for the price at bass pro?

Well if you "love it"......then what do you care what other people think. I myself am a big fan of St Croix rods, have several Mojo's, Avid, and Legend Tournaments. So yes, IMO, you have a good rod, others around here like Abu's, or Bass Pro rods, or Falcons, or Kistler etc.....Ford vs Chevy, no right or wrong.

I actually picked up my first Mojo spinnerbait rod off Craigslist last month (7' MH/F), and I have to say, not a fan.

Too heavy for my liking, and not a fan of the split handle with tear-drop cork bottom. I'll be looking to sell mine on CL and in the Flea Market within the next few days.

I know many people like the SC Mojo, but I'm not one of them so far...

On the other hand, I really do like the Premiers and Avids.

Thanx for the input I personally think it is pretty light. The tip gives just right.

Well if you love it , what does it matter what we think , enjoy your rod. B)

Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with them

i like the blanks. i could never get used to the grip/balance of the rod.

My buddy is giving me his as payment for me doing a poster for his guide service... I'd say it's a good trade haha. It's a bit tip heavy, but I love the thing. I can cast a freakin' mile with that thing, even with really light lures.

Yeah I can cast rapala sr7's a good ways and they are pretty light, the balance works well with my curado as it is not one of the lightest reels
