Take the treble hooks off your crank bait and use a siwash hook on the rear. Your hookup ratio might go down slightly but you'll get hung up a lot less

If you are giving advice to the original poster, he probably won’t see it as the last time he was online here was 9 years ago today.

This helped me! Newbie fisherlady with the same problem as OP. Thank you for all the advice!

It happened to often to me , so I bought lure savers that slide down the fishing line and free the lure and also the long handled saver that's used for Alabama rigs . Side note ever since I purchased those I have not needed them . Lol
