I would separate the transducers . Put the new side scan finder in the back and old unit out front with transducer under trolling motor .. You need to be moving in order to get the best detail from side scan and you need to be fairly close to screen to see clearly . Hope this helps.

I believe that's one thing bass and people have in common , we seek to escape heat stroke by going under a bridge for the shade it provides . Bass often seem to be there too .

They work . Had a couple of fisherman come over and ask what I was catching my bass on , gave them a few . A year or so later they introduced themselves as the one's I had given the Helicopters to and the had success enough to buy some on their own.

Go with the Humminbird because it's a better unit all around and has maps .. I regret buying the Garmin 9 Si vivid to save a few dollars . The same money could have gotten me a better Garmin unit when they went on sale ..if I had only waited .

They are wicked for sure . I was up in my tree stand once when they located me ... none stop attack and my buddy had walked off with my repellant earlier...one hunt I'll never forget.

Reminds standing waist deep in the water when suddenly a crab grabbed my big toe and sliced it open thinking it was food . Comical sight as I went down , my foot came out of the water with a big crab locked in with it's claw ..lol now not then .

This is kind of strange . I was fishing the reservoir and saw something bobbing in the water .I turned the boat towards it and saw it was a large television . I tied a rope around it and towed it to the ramp . It was super heavy but somehow got it loaded up . Took it home and let it dry for a few days . Hard to believe but it worked ....... wonder why someone tossed it ?

Depends ...not all side imaging units are equal as far as the information you gather from the image quality. Seems that's not the case with down scan images.

It's probably best and cheaper to wash your hands well before touching bait . No scent is going to remove the smell of things like gasoline , oil , and other contaminants. If you eat sardines while fishing , you might want to dip the bait in that oil the sardines are in though .

There have been days when I would have been thrilled to have caught 1 or 2 bass . In fact there have been days when I would have been happy to have had a bite . It's all about timing , amount of actual fishing time on water , location , and ...a lot of other things. No matter what , be thankful you are healthy and able to be fishing .

Here's what happened . I take a new $12 bass lure out of box and on the third cast something happened the line snaps and the lure flies over the water and out into a moccasin infested swamp , can't tell how far . I did see some gators in the water earlier. Large rocks border the edge of the lake . I think to myself it might not be to deep into the palmettos , hate not even trying... but after thinking it over those rocks could do a job on the transducer..my question is , have you ever taken a chance and gone ahead and tried a risky retrieval?

Everything comes off the boat when I get home . Wife wonders why it takes so long to load the boat up again to go fishing ....she says it takes me 3 hours . Lol

I think people living way out in the country leave their properties looking as they want ,because they mistakenly think most people would mind their own business instead of theirs .

I tie direct . Having learned a hard lesson . I ignored warnings to always replace snaps with rings to avoid having that really unexpected giant of a bass to totally straighten a snap .......it happened.

Jig . I am going to fish jigs this year . Seems like everyone fishes them and one fellow I was talking to even gave me one , telling me it's his never fail bass catcher. We will see .
