Catch and release everything and you get stunted fish . There's a reason the game commission has size regulations on lakes . Conservation methods are aimed at a certain population of fish being removed to avoid overcrowding and risk of disease that goes along with that .

Hunting would be my choice . There is something about being in the woods that makes you use your senses of sight , smell , hearing , to the max unlike any other sport . Failure to do any of the above could result in a ruined hunt or much worse . Fishing is a blast but hunting has a higher chance of encountering unexpected surprises both good and bad . These make for moments that you never forget .

Try your best to land some fish . A good bass angler knows that there are feeding times , and there are factors that also diminish bite opportunity. Know when to walk away .

No surgery but injuries . As I age it seems no matter how much I baby it , the shoulder will ache when I fish , but not during normal everyday activities. I do suspect though , that having a pull start motor is probably the culprit and not only the casting .

The best time of year . Temperature will cool down , and you can fish or hunt in comfort. The only problem is deciding which of the 2 .......to do .

It happened to often to me , so I bought lure savers that slide down the fishing line and free the lure and also the long handled saver that's used for Alabama rigs . Side note : ever since I purchased those I have not needed them . Lol

This might sound ridiculous but hear me out . Take a moment to wash your hands really well , before you touch your lure . Everyone is different , and each person's habits differ and might effect your hands . Things like smoking , handling chemicals, and other things might be contaminating or leaving scent on your presentation . Hope this solves your problem .

I was just telling my wife that bass fishing is not like any other type fishing I've done . It's seems amazing to me that almost every single outing is unique in that what worked so well for a day or two , it seems will never ever catch another fish from day three on . Expect to do something totally different , in order to have a successful outing . This is challenging and is what makes it so satisfying when we have a great day bass fishing . Places like Bass Resource provide hours of entertainment and knowledge that help make fishing so much fun .

Not a lure but a cork . When I was 15 my father lent me his favorite , to him lucky cork . Along with the cork these words of wisdom. ..." Don't lose it " you know the rest of the story...line snaps ,cork floats away at max speed . My cousin and I swim untill we were exhausted . Got home With the cork . Dad hears story and says , " I was only kidding you , that's not a lucky cork "
