I hate reading threads like these. My budget is for 'needs' not wants. Seeing deals like this HURTS.

I live in the sticks and quite a ways from any of these places with the killer closeout deals; a good thing as it eliminates a lot of impulse buying. I took the wife shopping in the big city on Monday, about 70 miles from home, and visited a Gander Mountain. They had a bin full of Citica 200Es for $89.xx - not a bad deal but easy to pass up. But if they had been selling at $49.99, I may have walked out with a couple...

Ya the impulse buying was always good for ending up with a bunch of stuff you don't need.

Every year I would have to pare down tackle, and get rid of stuff that didn't work, or I wouldn't use.

this time last year I decided to only buy what I want/need, and not just because it's cheap.

But it's still hard to see deals like this.

What are yall using the 50e for? It's the smaller version correct?

Im going to use senkos, KVD1.0/1.5 cranks, and 1/4oz jigs w/craw.

Well headed to Academy to check them out after I saw this thread. Looks like I was out of luck. They either didn't have the sale going on or they were completely out of stock on both reels already.

I plan on using mine for light t-rigs, some jerkbaits, and some other smaller lures.
