Birthday Bass

Featured Replies

When I was a kid, I always used to ask to go fishing on my birthday. My parents always said that it was too cold for fishing, and I never went. I turned 38 years old on 22 Dec 2011, and for the first time in my life, I went fishing for my birthday. I only got to fish for about an hour, and I only had one bite, but I made it count. You can't really tell from the pic, but the bass weighed roughly about 3 1/2 lbs. Happy birthday to me!

Lot of us have soft water now when often the lakes would be iced-over - ain't it great!

Nice fish - congrats on the catch !

Nice fish! I'm another one of the lucky guys enjoying soft water when I would normally be starting to check to see if the ice is thick enough to walk on yet!

Awesome. Congrats on a nice catch on a cold day. Happy belated birthday.

I bet it being the first birthday trip made it even more gratifying. Nice job!
