What is a Shakey Head?  Is it just a regular jig head or what?

If you look closely the eye is sorta bent.  This causes the worm to stand straight up in the water.

This one is my favorite. In fairness, it's also my least favorite because it's the only one I have tried.

I do have some other shaky head jigs that I will get around to trying, but these rigged with a four inch Strike King "elaZtech" finess worm, coppertreuse color, has produced some serious numbers and sizes of largemouth bass.

They aren't cheap, but they tend the bottom nicely and when they do hang, a simple bow twang usually frees them.

Yep, good jigheads. I've used them with great success paired with Ragetail mini-lobsters.  Great stuff!

When I first started fishng and knew even less than I did now I paired it up with an unusual bait. A 4"GYCB double tail grub. I was mildly successful, nothing of size. I'm gonna pick up some shakey finesse worms now.

I picked up some shaky heads and robo worms from wal mart last spring. They quickly became one of my favorite baits.

There's nothing set in stone about what to fish on a shakey head.  I recently had success with a Berkley chigger craw.  As long as it will stand up

I know this is Rage Tail country but my favorite baits are a Zoom Finesse  Worms, Zoom Speed Craw, Baby Brush Hog, New Mag Finesse worm. Earlier this year I had been throwing a GY Hula Grub and it was  

awesome of the pre spawn bass. No wrong way to fish.

update; like i said above, 2 days ago i bought some megastrike e2 shakyhead jigs...i tried them out yesterday...i gotta say that im really impressed with these jigs...they do sit up excellent as i believed they would by design...i'm sold

just coincidence...but cool none the less...yesterday, 1st time using these with a zoom junebug finesse worm...1st hole i flip it in - shake shake & bass on!!...gotta love that 8-)

You are absolutely correct. I first tried these in clear water, with a fifteen foot visibility. I cast one into about six feet of water with a brightly colored worm so I could easily see it, and get a feel for the action.

It unfailingly landed in the upright position. Whether twitched, jerked, dragged, or popped, it ended in a perfect standing position.

Even when it was bumped over and around mussels, it performed as advertised.

The guys that are using them swear by them. We get a lot of repeat customers once they really see what these heads are doing underwater.

I just wish they came in 1/8oz. I fish a lot of shallow rivers and I like 1/8oz a lot.
