Why Do They Sell For So Much?

Featured Replies

I have an old Abu Garcia XLT Plus that I still use. Was just surfing around and realized these things sell for, what I think, astronomical prices for their condition, age, and technological level. Can anybody tell me why?

5-30$ astronomical? Its probably just people collecting them.

Five bucks is no problem but $30.00 for a well used reel? Kinda shocked me. I have had mine since sometime in the 80's and can't even remember what I paid for it but I doubt it was more than $30. :D

When I saw the thread title, I thought it would be about Daiwa being outrageously expensive. LOL

due to devaluation of the dollar your thirty dollars today is equal to five dollars ibn the eighties.
