Tracker Avalanche Set Up ...

Featured Replies

I am trying to get all I can get, with the balance of true preformance.

18.2 foot 150 HP opti

I have a tempest+ 21p prop

55.4 mph GPS me+full on gas.

5700 rpm WOT

my issue is I dont want to go WOT all the time. when I am running 30 mph and trim up AT ALL, I start to porpiose. I "need" to trim at 30 mph cause I am plowing water and leaving HUGE wakes, and prefer to plane out and "cruise" at lower speeds in some of the smaller water I fish.

Try moving some weight forward, if possible. The boat will get on plane easier, and have less of a tendency to porpoise.

That may slow down your top end some, but on smaller water, it may be the ticket. When you want to go at maximum speed, shift the weight back.

Looks to me that you need a hydrofoil stabilizer on your motor.

those are of no help. The boat actually had one on it when I bought it.........after 3-4 trips out I took it off. No difference in preformance. It did better without it if at all.

How do you run it? Do you get up on plane @ WOT first and back down slow on the throttle?

sometimes I do. but if I do it like that I never go back down below 4k rpm, which is around 40mph.
