Aba Garcia and Pro Max Combo, and Vengeance Black Max Combo at Dicks Sporting Goods for 99.00 are these worth getting?

Welcome to the forum. The Orra sx is ok as a budget reel but I'd steer clear of the others. Value wise, there's a big difference if you could hold out and save up a little more for a Revo S, Citca or even BPS PQ on sale. There's been quite a few reviews of the Vengeance rods and Vendetta rods and the concensus seems to be that the Vendetta is worth the extra $.

There's also some nice second hand tackle in the Flea Market forum.

I have a Vendetta rod and it's definitely worth the $80 I paid for it. I don't know much about the orra, but when it comes to the vengeance rod and black max reel they're both decent values for the price. AKA you get what you pay for.

I saw another topic yesterday where the citica was on sell for $80 at GM so I bought anothe citica last night.

The flea Market (or other 'for sale' sites) is where it's at. Just bought a rod for $209 less than it was selling for when it was in production. Have bought used reels for less than half price of new reel. Of course not all deals are as sweet. Saw an ad for the Daiwa 50th Anniversary Zillion that had an asking price of $45 more than when new. Got my like new one for $105 less than suggested retail (when new) about 2 years ago.

The rod I just bought evens up my combos. Made a list of them last night trying to figure out how I want to set up each rod/reel/line combo. 18 combos since first finding this site in 2009.

My debtors all wonder why my bills aren't getting paid.

i have a quantum nitrious combo i got at dicks for 50$ was 100 works good and i got the quantumn escalade on sale for 60 was 120 both work good for me i like my shimano more but i have had no problems with the dicks combos for the price its ok

I had an earlier version of the Black Max. Hated that thing.
