Hi Jinx, check out Shane J's posts, he fishes the Merrimack often, all thru the winter.

Yes I do. Smallies, largemouth, salmon, bluegill, crappie, and some of the biggest perch I've ever seen in that river, not to mention carp, pickerel, and suckers, if you're into all that stuff. I target just LM and SM, but catch everything under the sun in that place. Two days ago, I landed (possibly illegally) a 12lb salmon. She was released, just in case you were wondering.

I either go downtown right across from central plaza and fish that wall. I live on the bradford side of the bridge and fish close to home sometimes right off of the traintracks behind Academy Lanes bowling alley.

Hey, Jinx, in that spot you are standing in in that picture, cast a 3/8oz keel-weighted Rage Craw (Falcon Lake Craw color) out as far as you can ,and to your 1:00 position. There's a hole you will drift over that holds schools of smallies all summer long. There's also a shopping cart that you will lose at least a bait or two on.
