How Is The Unusually Warm Weather Effecting Your Prespawn Fishing

Featured Replies

Where are we right now?

I was reading 72 deg for the water temp in a lake I fish alot. We usually dont see that until mid/late may. All in all we are 3-4 weeks early this year it seems like

Spawn has done come and gone, here. I usually bed-fish most of April, but not this year. I'm all in on everything is happening a full month ahead of schedule. Crazy!!!

I DONT KNOW HOW ITS AFFECTING THEM BUT I KNOW HOW ITS AFFECTING ME!!!!!! APPARENTLY LARGEMOUTH BASS ARE NON EXISTENT IN MY LAKE?!!? Seriously though, i cannot figure them out to save my life. Im going this sunday ALL DAY. If i dont locate any fish im going to sell every piece of gear i own out of frustration.

Where ya going? I can put you on some fish at Roberts or Grapevine. Little fish to be sure - 2 lbs is about all we have around here - but fun to catch anyway. PM me.

So are the fish still shallow, or have they moved out? Hopefully I can get out there this week, I'm just wanting to know where to look first.

Our freezing nights are killing the opportunity of a good spawn, saw the couples troll around but all the cold fronts at night after every nice warm day keeps pushing them out back to the deeps, which could be miles away since local waters are shallow. Add the lack of rain (low water) and lack of vegetation growing.... Not good at all.
