i am eyeing those baits because the top water is soon on at here,

i found out that they are basically multipurpose bait with different ways, what is your favorite size/retrieve

and also what kind rod/reel/line do you guys use?

Has anyone used this?

Yeah, I have the bone Jr in bass color. I like it because you can retrieve it several different ways. I like bringing it back with a real slow retrieve. It has a big wobble that seems to work good. I've also had success working it like a popper.

I don't think there is a wrong way with this lure.

I love this bait. On windy days or at night you can catch a ton of fish on these. Use the 96 size, forget the little one. One thing I do is put an Owner st-41 1/0 or 2/0 on the belly and take off the hook on the back. This is a small bait and any bass 2 pounds and up will get that one treble in its mouth no problems.

On windy days, SLOW and steady works for me. At night with wind same thing, when it's calm, I pop it more and deadstick, sometimes letting it sit there will pull them out of cover to come eat it. I've caught them from half a pound to 9 pounds on this bait. Mg bluegill and matte black! The only two you need in my opinion.

Good luck with them!

what weight is the size 96, i only see at *** is reg buzzjet and jr size,

The 96 is a 4 inch bait and weighs 1 ounce.

The 96 is a 4 inch bait and weighs 1 ounce.

so the 96 will get more fish than the smaller version?

I have a jr., great bait, but does'nt cast very well due to the angled lip.I usually opt for a sammy because I can can cast it a mile.

so the 96 will get more fish than the smaller version?

Not necessarily, the small one may catch more fish, but the bigger one appeals to bigger bass, the size difference between the two is like comparing a softball and a baseball.

Don't discount the Jr. completely though, It's done wonders around here for me lately. The 3" Flash Gill color specifically...DYNOMITE!
