just got a new to me shimano calais 100a today in the mail, for those of you who own one what is your favorite lure you use on it, its a 5;8-1 ratio and i dont know if fishing a spinnerbait,chatterbait,lipless crank would be to slow, tia

    It's a fantastic shallow/med crank reel. It will also work very well for blades. I use mine for hollow belly swimbaits.

    It really is a superb reel.
