Nobody likes those frogs.

Nope not any good you can send them to me to properly dispose of them.

I know of a pond in southern Arizona where you can pick one up cheap.

Besides my now obvious gaff in using one with six pound test, I liked it. I had four strikes with it in about 35 minutes.

Been throwing them for years. Tie it on a 7' spinning rod with braid and hold on! Their lighter than alot of frogs, which is often a good thing. Spro's and all their knockoffs are awesome, but sometimes I've found the big splash they make to be a deterant.

The last few outings I notice that a lot of bass will come up and sort of go through the motions of taking the frog. They don't take the frog under, but they come up from behind and sort of mouth the tail end, then swim off. Is this the equivalent of fish following a bait, but not taking it? I've heard that means you are using the right bait, just change the color. So when the bass do this with the scum frog, should I change to another color or chalk it up to more of a defensive gesture for bedding bass? Or just bass being bass.

Love them, especially the popper and bigfoot frog. The 5/16 ounce will cast fine on baitcast reels.

When this happens to me I try a number of things changing colors is usually my last effort mainly cuz I'm to lazy to dig another on out. But I usually get em to commit by either slowing down, "dead sticking" the frog when they swirl, or even speed up and burn it threw there for the reaction. The dead stick aproach drive em nuts it seams for me like there ticked the frog didn't flee and is still sitting there or they think they knocked it out or something it's not moving easy meal now. It's hard not to yank when u see them nip it but 9/10 times they swing back and inhale it if u leave it sit motionless letting the wind or current do it's thing. I usually give the pause a good 30+ seconds depending on the activity of the fish.
