Welcome aboard, Joe. A lot (perhaps all) of us started bank or dock fishing! When you have the time and money, consider a simple kayak or canoe as your first boat. You'll love it.

Welcome fellow Marylander.
Don't ask "what does the world need", find out what it is that makes you come alive then go do that. Because what the world needs are people who have come alive.

thanks everyone. darren- kayak sounds cool. theres some really weedy areas further out on my lake with lots of stumps and sunken logs. seems like a kayak would be good for getting up in there. daddyodo- love your picture. rodney dangerfield is awesome and caddyshack is a great movie.
