  1. Welcome back Abel. You were missed. I am glad everything is going better. Be sure to give your wife our best.
  2. Go to the Spike-it web site. They sell a neutralizer that will get that out of carpet. But I'm not sure about the metal. I know it doesn't work on the seats. http://www.ispikeit.com/shop/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=2&subcat=12&cat=Dip%2DN%2DGlo+Worm+Dye It's the fourth one down.
  3. Yea I don't agree with that format. I don't think it will work. But this will be the beginning of bigger and better things to come out of he PAA.
  4. I completely understand how you are looking at it. They have done great things, but I am looking at it from a business standpoint. It stirred my interest in checking into BASS was when I let my subscription laps. I got 5 letters and two phone calls begging me to come back. I am now waiting for a knock on my door with someone standing on their knees begging me for my money. Let's discuss a few things, BASS has lost a large percentage of subscriptions in the last few years. For those who are Lifetime Members they have already spent your money and aren't making any more off of you. They rely on those of us who get those yearly subscriptions and that just isn't happening as much. Although ESPN wants us to believe that they ended the deal with Citgo it's actually the other way around. I was told that Citgo pulled out due to the low ratings. That falls back on what fishbear said. Why are you having shows about fishing on a Saturday morning while your target audience is out on the lake fishing? If given the choice to go fishing or to stay home and watch a few shows about fishing. I would have a rod in my hand. As for the pros coming back to BASS. This is the first I have heard of it. But just as an observation. The competition in the FLW has gotten extremely tough lately. They may be moving back because the competition in BASS isn't as tight as it used to be. In my opinion, if I was a potential major or minor sponsor and BASS were to approach me for money they sure wouldn't look very appealing at this point. I hope I am wrong. I hope bass is just in a transitional period and will come out on top. They have done great things for the sport and deserve better things to happen.
  5. Matt, I totally agree. Time will tell. I sure hope I am wrong. But keep an eye on the PAA. They have a few plans for the future after BASS that are great.
  6. Most of you may not believe me but BASS is broke and not bringing in any money and ESPN ain't gonna stick around much longer to help out.
  7. Yea I remember that list. But ours wasn't just for the states it was the world. My first pick was Korea and they sent me to Hawaii.
  8. I am a direct decendent of Rebecca Nurse. She was the third person hung in the Salem Witch Trials.
  9. That's great JT. Congrats,
  10. Wow Catt. That list of names is like a who's who in legends. That's awsome. My dad was a guide on the Snake River back in the 50's and 60's. By the time I came along my family lived in GA but trout was still my dad's favorite. So for summer trips we would go to the North Georgia Mountians to trout fish. I had fished for bass on and off for most of my young life. Then when I was a junior in high school if meet Adam (Doghouse). At the time he was a very talented bass fisherman and he stoked the bass fishing fire in me. I've beem hook ever sence, but I still haven't been able to get my dad to go bass fishing with me. We still go trout fishing every year.
  11. Does anyone know where I can get a realistic looking rubber snake for my next trip with fishbear?
  12. Those aren't the members that have been banned. They are the ones that removed their own profile for one reason or another.
  13. Now that's a chunk. Congrats
  14. I have used plenty of Lake Fork tackle products. I couldn't help but try it because one of my fishing partners (RANGERMAN) owns every item, in every color they make. It is some great tackle. It's not Lake Fork spacific but it does catch fish. My favorate is the Creature on a C-Rig or T-Rig in Stained water.
  15. Off topic replies have been moved to [link=http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1161577964]This Thread[/link]
  16. If you go to SOB lures you can put together a costom mini-me spinnerbait for the same price as their retail ones.
  17. One day when I was a young boy I got the bright idea that I was going to shoot a little bird with my BB Gun. Little did I know my mom was watching me. She taught me a few lessons that day. I learned how to pluck a bird and how do cook it. That was the worst thing I had ever eaten. You shouldn't kill anything that you don't intend to eat. Fishbear gave some great advise on how to handle the situation on snakes and turtle soup is great.
  18. I know you are from OH but let me give you the link to one of my favorite local forums. It is packed full of kayak fishermen. They will be more that happy to help you dicide what you want. Their homepage is http://www.georgiariverfishing.com/index.htm and the forum is http://georgiariverfishing.com/phpBB2/index.php?sid=d1cc2afe073530870d50be48e26507c5
  19. Let's put it this way. Bass owes alot of money to several companies and employees and can't pay them. Let's do some math. Loss of thousands of magazine subscriptions. Loss of Major and Minor Sponsors. Cutting of the most expensive TV shows. Loss of some big name Pros. The search for more small sponsors to make up for the big ones. I just don't see a profit here. With no profit. I don't see ESPN holding on to it much longer. My sources work for BASS and ESPN and they know that it won't be long before they will have to find a new job. If I'm wrong. Feel free to come back and tell me I told you so. I can take it.
  20. BASS fisherman, You can set it up when you get there but do not set it up on this forum. This is a trip for fun and that is what it is going to stay. I think the shirt looks the best on me.
  21. I am going to be honest here. I hope somebody breaks that stinkin record. I live in and love GA but I am tired of hearing stories about another one caught in Cali that broke the record but the dummy that caught it didn't do something right. I would like to challange the guys that fish for these monsters to read exactly how to get a bass into the record books and then make a plan ahead of time on how you are going to do it. Get pictures and video and have witnesses (lots of them) at the weigh-in. Call the California Fisheries Dept. Call your state wildlife magazine to do a story and get it all documented. Then we can put the "so called" GA World Record to rest. Look at it this way. I will never break GA's bogus state record but you can break the World Record. So go out and do it.
  22. I just talked to someone in the know. I can't say their name because the are well known but he said that BASS didn't pull away from Citgo but it was the other way around. Citgo pull out of BASS. Truth be told. BASS is broke. They have no money. Bar any miracle. BASS's days are numbered.
