  1. Seven foot Med Heavy rod-- High speed reel-14 lb Trilene and this reeled across the top of weeds or thrown on lilly pads and dragged off the sides Totally weedless and every appendage flutters and creates a wake. The nbass knock the snot out of these - click on image-
  2. I can't tell you how many times I wanted a smaller tube, but we give people their moneys worth.
  3. You dont need to "marinate" them. Believe me its easy as it gets just to put a dab on your finger and rub it down the baits. It usually stays on pretty well unless the water temp is in the upper 80's / It has a melting point of 104 degrees. If your using it in cooler or colder months like now -you can put it on a jig and it will be on all day. As for the swimbait deal that Mr Francho was talking about-That swimbait nation following uses MegaStrike all of the time.I have had many of them email and ccall me saying even when they suspend the swimbaits -The bass will sniff it and just inhale them when normally they look and turn away.Again if you dont like it and even the color of the cap turns you off-we will refund your money NO QUESTIONS ASKED- I really wish you guys can come to some of the shows that we do. I have taken pebbles and put Mega on it -dropped it in the tank and the bass ate them -- We sell out at almost every show we go to.
  4. Sometimes it takes something as simple as a certain twitch of the rod tip to make the bait react a certain way which causes a reaction strike. You can see it in this video with the shakey head and worm.
  5. Thank you for the kind words and for you that are questioning-This was not a paid testimonial. Heck he did better than the pro staff guys we do pay... Thats it no one gets paid any longer. LOL
  6. Its actually a great tool for showing people how fish really relate to cover /structure under water. Also how they school up and not often alone down there
  7. MegaBug I-This bait has replaced my conventional jig 99% of the time. click on image
  8. There are times where i ghave seen bass follow buzzbaits for ten feet and turn away. I would have to say though I truley believe that buuzbait get a reaction strike 90% of the time .WHICH i dont believe they even care about color. They just hit it out of reaction and the comotion it creates. Color i believe gives them a better target to hit
  9. Black + low light conditions as well as night fishing White =any time of day with water being clear to stained-=able to see down from the surface to three feet Chartreuse =muddy water visibility to 1 ft Ghost minnow=shad/clear color=water that is clear-5 ft or more visibility-great for mimicing bait fish Chartreuse/white=stained water visibility 3 feet or less Blades -gold= stained to clear water-lots of flash Red= Clear water--flared gill effect--Hmmm bet ya didnt know that one- Black= low light condition or night fishing-Create the most silhouette you can -they cant see the blade color anyway
  10. Just got a phone call today to be the featured speaker at that show this year.Must have liked what they had seen - HMMM We will be giving away TSHIRTS and prizes this year as well. Gotta love when I bring the kids up there and hook a fish-Shows that anyone can do it -Just negotiated my deal. Not bad-
  11. I had gotten asked to hop up on the Hawg Trough and do a seminar at The Garden Stae Outdoor Expo.. It will show you how some of the Megastrike Products look and work under water. The stand was on the camera side and there was a lot of people there watching. I hope this will give you an idea about some of our products .Remind you that these bass have seen every baits from every manufacture - many times a day--They seem to really like and hold on when Megastrike was applied -Also watch the swim bait movement-
  12. HMMMM does anyone really know what worm extract is-- HMMM theres the question of the day
  13. Save yourself a headache -Its not that easy- most likely you are going to create something that could do more harm than good. Night crawlers minced up and start to decay is a fish repellant. You have to create a formula that is accepted by -olfactory chemosensory and gustation-- reception -- retention-- and a whole slew of other sensory criteria- OFF by one and it dosent work.
  14. If youre going to do it -do it right- If not you dont belong in business
  15. I reel it slow but sometimes I make long casts and have to take up the slack quickly-High speed helps me cause im getting old
  16. LOL That suff hurts but hurts so good all the way to the bank--Love the tournaments
  17. Its my favorite bait and style of fishing. There have been days that I throw the cavitron and never put it down. I have won lots of money using these baits. Not only does it catch numbers but lunker of the tournament often comes on it.. I fish night tournaments here with a bunch of guy Usually about 25 boats Al I here is bzzzz and some squeeeel.I know right off the bat its a cavitron. As for the rods and reels /line set up.. I use a 7 ft M/H action rod. Shimano Citica-and 14 lb test Trilene Mono XL I DO NOT LIKE BRAID WHEN FISHING MY BUZZBAIT --Mono give me the right amount of stretch witch in turn means time for the bass to hold on to the bait With braid I often pull the bait away from the fish. Or come back with a set of lips. Braid has its applications but for me -not buzzbait fishing. Believe me theres nothing like buzzbait fishing--The most violent /explosive strikes I have ever seen have come on this bait.. AND MEMBERS--Yes they are more than most buzzbaits but I have learned one thing in my life. You get what you pay for.Everything is made right here in the US- Quality is everything to me Ok leave me alone I have work to do This guy liked them so much he got a cavitron tatooed on his are YIKES
  18. Glenn and a lot of other members here have met me at shows and on the water.Yes I am unorthodox in many ways but I am a straight shooter and well respected in and out of the industry. This is what I do for a living--I am on the water all the time -also under it learning fish behavior for over 25 years.I design products to catch fish. I am a fisherman just like you. I have been serious bass fishing for over 35 years. Worked with the best in the business. Would you rather buy products that are from a die hard fisherman or some guy in a suit sitting behind a desk that has never even been on a fishing boat. Hmm I back every product we make 100% -If you dont like it-we buy it back- and we sell to the largest retailers all over the world.. Try to get your money back from the guy in the suit behind the desk.
  19. HMMM I must be on to something here
  20. Glass is denser than plastic so the glass gives you a sharper sound and the plastic muffles the sound. Also bead size is just as important as a variable. When carolina rigging I put a bead in front and in back of the brass weight. better sound as well as slides over rocks and gravel better -less snags
  21. Fingers still frozen??/ I dont know -Glenn -hook a brotha up
  22. Well i did my annual Hudson river trip. Went with Big John only this year-The other ladies couldnt make it- OH IM AFRAID BLUTO- We might get cold-Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor-Wermer Dead Marmalard Dead----------- Neidermeir--Oh sorry Im losing it-- so anyway went up there / left Saturday morning -got up on the water about 1030 The wind was howling-25mph snowing like a beaotch- Looked like someone cut open a beanbag in my boat.. I had 5 layers on and looked like the kid from a Christmas Story-Ralph’s brother. Air temp was 38 water temp was 40. I was up there 3 weeks ago -slammed them on strike back spinner baits and MegaBugs-water temp was 58 Totally amazing how quickly the temps drop in three weeks. Fished some main river points but to catch nothing I moved into the wintering creeks .found vertical rock walls and started throwing MegaBugs-Grubs on 1/8 oz Pro model shakey 2's. Fished sloooooooowly just dragging the baits. When I wanted to move the bait I let it sit for another 10 seconds -Thats when I felt just a little weight set the hook I was using 4 lb fluorocarbon . Need that because the water was clear and cold. The bass only feed at certain times because it is tidal -cold and vertical. They will not chase the baits like in warmer water. Ya gotta basically hit them on the head so after two days of freezing my butt off I ended up with a few smallies and about 14 bass all together-No giants but I am going up for one more trip before Ice--Two years ago i ghad my best year there-Over 50 bass between the three of us a day. Giant 4-5 and 6 lbrs but what was wild was the water was 34 degrees. The colder the better. HMMM go figure- maybe Glenn will go this time.
