  1. my berkely tec works well, its expensive but accurate to within an ounce
  2. inbetween my weight and hook, i usually leave 8 inches. i never use it out of the range of 6-14 inches though. a couple of people i have fished with have used four inches and caught fish and i saw a diagram just the other day that showed 36 inches of space as for sinkers, you want the ones that have the......(i dont know what you call it but is a piece of metal that sticks straight up) so that your line will break right at the sinker should you get hung up in rocks. The cylindrical weights come through the rock the best, as the others have mentioned. i use 1/8 and 3/16 only, but heavier weights will be necessary for deeper presentations. For fifteen to twenty feet, i would use 1/8, but i tend to go light. i use my 3/16 oz for only 30+ For hooks, use anywhere from a size 4-1/0, but i like to use size 2 Bait wise, i use the Roboworm 4" sculpins in various colors. i pretty much use this exclusively but several other things work. tubes lizards, anything your crazy enough to put on, just have fun with it The best price i have found on drop shot weights like the ones described above were at handpoured worms. I just ordered a one hundred pack a couple days ago and am waiting for shipment, ill let you guys know how they do. As for price on the hooks, you cant beat hookerz tackle. i will be placing an order for those once i run out of my expensive gammys. on that site they are called octopus hooks. I find that dragging the dropshot produces best, but is also the costliest. I think i lost about ten rigs and 15 sinkers in two days of fishing Remember to not set the hook to hard as well, its almost a reel set. No crossed eyes, just lift your rod straight up and start reeling the fish. sorry about the length now go get some fish
  3. if you open the window and type in 24 US dollars, it says your the richest person in the world
  4. why do bass eat creature baits worked slow when they actually have time to see and study the bait? really, you can catch a bass on anything. it doesnt have to look like anything in the lake...as long as it peaks their curiosity(?...i havent been in school all summer, give me a break) I have caught bass on green cranks in clear water, as well as on yellow spinnerbaits i really dont think color is as much of an object as we think it is, just use what color you have confidence in
  5. even the established businesses started out on their own
  6. Thats an extra 16$ in gas for a round trip. Ill deal with bad customer service at that price lol Vic geez, ur car must get like 12 mpg 50 miles, 4$ gas........4 gallons to go fifty miles :-/
  7. They say you should just throw those camera tickets away theres no way to prove that youve gotten the ticket...mail is very unreliable
  8. I disagree. Flurocarbon is the best line for feel on long casts with a bow in the line. Braid is the worst for feel. Braid is only sensitive when it is pulled all the way tight with heavier weights. At all other times it is the least sensitive line with almost no feel at all. Fluro is dense and the bite transmits up the slack line much better. Mono and braid are less dense and have less sensitivity. But even with fluro you will not feel some fish on semi-slack line. First thing after the bait hits bottom don't think as the first movement of the rod and reel being one to move the bait but just tighten the line and feel for the fish. The bait will move anyway as you feel for the fish all the way back to the boat or shore. add another i use flouro for almost all my fishing, its very sensitive, has less stretch than mono, and is practically invisible

on the spros, i cut on leg about 1 inch off and the other i cut about two inches off that should do to get a good walking action
  10. the length of the skirt will actually harm the action of a trailer, I tried it with a Paca chunk in my 200 gallon koi pond...the claws dont flutter as well with a longre skirt i trim all my jigs and some of my weed guards
  11. i just put in a rod order sunday night, this sucks
  12. IMO, cork doesnt absorb vibration like foam does. The foam seems to dampen the sensitivity of the rod

  15. OK, I think the Kistler is pretty much out Im really looking for someone that has both though because the Midas is on sale from 150 to 100. I really want to listen to the pretty much overwhelming support of the Compre, but at the same time I know that more people own the Compre than do the Midas. I just really don't want to throw away that deal ill be ordering pretty soon, so please help if you can
