Skippin, Gamakatsu has a EWG Monster in 5/0 thru 7/0 or they have a EWG weighted in 3/0 thru 5/0 that IMHO works great on the Kamakazee and Moneys Minnow swimmers. The wider bit seems to get a few more in the boat during the day than the Butt dragger for me. Good luck,Crow commander

Not sure if you're headed for the southern part of Arkansas,but check out the trophy lakes the AGFC has set up where you might catch a 10plus LM. They would be IMHO listed as best,Lake Monticello,Lake Columbia, and Lower White Oak.Crowcommander

I plan to take my boat and stay in Diamond City at one of the older motels there. It's kinda like walking back into a time warp there. They're nice but kinda dated,which is fine with me.

We ran into this about 5 years ago on Lake of Woods fishing Long Bay near Soiux Narrows. Someone said that crawfish molt every month of summer and that it's about 7 days after the full moon. I'm not sure if this is correct,but I know it's not been that good since. We had 60 days and everyone you caught on a Christmas Tree colored tube would be throwing up crawdaddys all the way to the boat. Crowcommander

Can the Merc Water seperating filter be installed ahead of the priming bulb? There is a perfect place for this just out of the built in tank on my Wareagle and putting it past the bulb would be in way of oil resouvior.Thanks,Crowcommander

Paca Craw chunks and Zoom Super Chunks are my personal favorite. A toothpick pushed across the front end and clipped off on both sides(resting behind the hook shank)seems to help these expensive little fellars hang on to catch another bass.Crowcommander

I haven't had any problems except on an aluminum boat when the dealer tightened these rubber isolators too tight and the edge of the 1/2" holes these fit in cut the rubber.New ones were reinstalled and were trouble free for the life of the trolling motor. Crowcommander

I like to use a clear small cable tie instead of a "0" ring and Gammy 3/0 Octopus hook in red. Be careful not to cinch the cable tie too tight though. The octopus hook seems to get um every time with very few misses. Crowcommander

The bead in my opinion helps in 3 ways. It protects the knot from abrasion,It helps keep moss and other aquatic veggies from gathering on it and it also keeps it from getting hung on hard limbs. The other thing I do is add about 8" of light soldering wire to the shank of the Stanley 5/0 hook wrapped around and around the shank. It acts as a keel to keep the hook pointed up during retreive where it should be. Good luck,Crowcommander

Denn34, Where do you go in Ontario? We've gone to Lake of Woods near Souix Narrows for last 3 years last of August. Fishing wasn't as great as it should be last time and we're thinking of moving.Crowcommander
