Lake Hamilton, Ouachita, DeGray in Arkansas
You mentioned the June month which is really, really busy on Hamilton. Degray and Ouachita will be Black spinner bait and a big 10" worm on the outside edge of Hydrilla(Plum and Redbug mostly)Hydrilla may be sparse as high water tends to kill out Hydrilla due to water pressure and lack of sunlight. Also try the 4 bridges on Hamilton with drop shot or shakey head. There is a speed barrier on the bridges so you won't get run over but be careful and watch out for drunks and skimpy bathing suits! Good luck Crowcommander

Rediscovering old baits, Mann´s Augertail
Been there, done that and I've got the T-shirt on the wifey and storage problems. I know just how you feel on finding some good worms that you've cached away. I found some old Riverside 8" black neon worms which have a strange resemblance to the new Strike King Anaconda worm soon to be out.If the Bait Monkey would leave me alone and the Sporting good stores (mainly Gander Mountain) would quit discounting baits,I wouldn't have this storage problem! Quantam Code has 8 bearings?
Recently bought the Quantam Code reels (7.0-1) and really like them for frogging and worm fishing. After 2 months I thought I would lightly oil them and looked at my parts list to get an idea how to disassemble for a shot of reel butter. I can only find 4 bearings listed. These reels are marked as 8 bearings. :-/ Am I missing something? After looking in the Bass Pro Catalog, they list them with 7 balls and 1 roller. Any help is apprecaited. They're still good reels for the money anf I would purchase them again.Crowcommander

Anybody that fishes Millwood or Beards Lake? We had a very good day on Beards Lake(which is a lake I usually fish when we get to Millwood Lake and the wind is blowing). Cane toads and Horny Toads in green scum was the ticket.Gosh that's exciting. Too bad its 60 miles from my home 20. Caught about 20 head and missed that many also. It's so hard to let'um have it before setting the hook.Good fishing Crowcommander

Crane Lake, Mn ??
Sorry I don't have a report this year as yet but last year we fished Pelican Lake(on you way I believe) and caught several Smallies and blacks on Flukes,Green w/red flake. Also on Kabetogamo. We ran out of 4 bags rather quickly. We heard BlackDuck Lake was good, but never made it there.Be careful on Pelican Lake as there are several shallow reefs out in middle.Crowcommander

Revo SX or Citica 200D
Yard sale money is burning a hole in my pocket. I usually buy 2 reels at a time and have narrowed the choices down to Revo SX and Citica 200D. Its been like 10 years since I bought new reels. The Citica didn't have ball bearings when I bought my last 2 reels which were Curados. Any good honest advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance Crowcommander

Any reports on the Shadalicious yet?
No d.hark they're not weighted, you have to add weight by wrapping wire soldering around them or pinching the sinkers onto them. By the way, I did mispell the name, It;s Kamakazeebaitco.com 208-365-3470. The hooks are 45 cents a pop I believe and I recommend the 5.5 treat swimbait in Chartruese shad.Be sure to use good quality 20lb. flouracarbon and retie often because you will get broke off! Pickerel problem--too many lures gone
Hey fishizzle,go to Michaels or hobby lobby(craft stores I know and take your wife if your married to make big points!) and buy the 18lb clear plastic covered stainless wire, brass sleeves for crimping and the crimping tool.Your'e out about $25 but you can make your own leaders, cut to any length. I use only about 2 inches for jigs and about 3 for other baits. works great . We have a lot of pike in the Lake Degray Ark and this seems to work for me IMHO Crowcommander

Any reports on the Shadalicious yet?
Kamikazebait co has the 8/0 gammy hooks. I hope I spelled that right. Ask for David. Don't let the size intimidate you. They will catch 2 lb. fish also. They're just the ticket for big bass who are into lip piercing! Good fishing Crowcommander

Any reports on the Shadalicious yet?
Avalon, I got a pack of the 5.5 I believe in Chartruese shad by Strike King and used them for a day. I like the Kamikaze Treats better. The durability is great and you can use a butane lighter to "weld" them back together again. I use a Gammy 8/0 EWG hook and take solder wire and wrap around the shank of hook to give it a balanced ballist to keep the rig running in a upright manner. A lot of guys are pinching sinkers on and some mfg are molding lead on the shanks but its very critical to get it balanced to get that little wobble just right. The 8/0 is critical to get thru the wide meaty part of the swimbait.I've tried 5/0 and 6/0 and didn't get the hook ups when the bass strikes.IMHO Crowcommander

swimbait vs shad body
Want to get the little woman to talk 'dirty' to you, then order a few swimbaits over the phone or internet and wait till she gets the bill. I wish I had never heard of a #@%%% swimbait. The thing about it I can't put it down. I guess I'm going to get them out of the boat and leave them home. It's worse thwn the football jigs that everyone had to have. Crowcommander
