Glass Crank Rod Opinions
Dobysn 704 CB awesome rod for small to medium divers. Lamiglas 705R is great too for medium divers, but I don't like it for deep cranking like other on this board (too short of handle and too short of lengthwise for my taste. It still an excellent rod.

Stumpted At Night
10" power worm or rage tails. Works just about every time.

Favorite Set-Up
I have tried a lot of rods, but I always keep coming back to my Loomis 844GLX with Core. Awesome all around rod from jigs to C-rigs.

Lamiglas
I used them for a few years before i moved to Loomis. They are really nice well made rods with a good warranty. Very underrated and their glass cranking rods are really good.

Rod Holder For A Jeep Cherokee Ideas
Yeah. I owned a Jeep Cherokee (now own a Grand Cheorkee) and the 8ft PVC pip can either be positioned so that the tube rides in bwtween teh two se or ran along the passenger windows. You can drill a few hole on one side of the tube and run rope through them and tie it to the luggage rack or use a couple metal worms clamps.

Yeah they look really good in the water. The hair has a pulsing effect.

Rod Holder For A Jeep Cherokee Ideas
Yeah BPS rod holders are a rip off. You can make a better carrier out of PVC pipping for like $25-30 bucks. Here is a pic of the 5" (maybe it is 4") PVC tube that is 8' long that I use to store my flipping and swimbait rods. Get yourself some rod gloves(covers)and they side in and out easily. I hope this helps.

Reaction Innovations Baits ?
Def worth buying a couple packs of the Beavers and the Dippers. Baits hold up well to abuse.

Hard Swim Bait Reviews
Baby wake are released a few times a year and they usually are sold out in hours if not minutes once they are released. Probably the best way to get one (or a Hard Gill) is to visit a swimbait forum and post in their classifieds section. Hope this helps.

Koppers New Mouse Lure
I like this one. It is kinda creepy when its hair flairs out in the water. My link

Hard Swim Bait Reviews
Nice looking, but there are reports of them breaking at the joints (reportedly solved the problem). A little small too.

New Powerpro Super Slick....finally
Good I will try it when it come out. Hate the sound of braid going through recoil guides especially.

Rod Holder For A Jeep Cherokee Ideas
What I do is get some 4" PVC piping (cap one end, screw end the other) and attach it to the luggage rack using clamps or ropes. You will have to breakdown your rod and reels, but that is no biggie. I also use them to store the rod I am not using. I can stand the PVC pipe nearly upright in my basement to prevent the blank from curving. Mounting it inside I would get one of those kits that BPS or Cabelas Sells that attach to the ceiling or side of your jeep.

Hard Swim Bait Reviews
My experience with the Spro was with the BZZ-1. It is tough to recommend a bait you have to pull the fins out and re-glue before it even hits the water especially when in carries a $30+ price tag when they came out. I have not tried the 6" Spro simply because I have better options and I tend to throw 7"+ baits. I would much rather have a triple trout over a Spro any day of the week.

Hard Swim Bait Reviews
Typically in the hard swimbait market you get what you pay for. If you want some junk whose fins fall off or don't run true go cheap. I am not saying you have to go buy the top of the line 3:16 stuff to catch fish, but going cheap ends up costing you money in the long run. Tru-tungsten and Spro stuff is complete junk IMO. IF you have the money to spend, drop it on one or two high quality baits. I have owned just about every swimbait made at one point in time. Save yourself time, effort, and frustration and get yourself a high quality bait. Here is my list of proven fish catchers under 60 bucks in order of preference. 1. 3:16 Baby Wake 2. 7" Triple Trout 3. 7" (small) Ms Slammer 4. Lunker Punker (get the wood one, not the plastic one) 5. Mattlure Hard Gill Some of the baits listed above are hard to find. If you have an immediate need you should be able to pick up a TT and a Slammer. The other baits you will need to look toward the swimbait forums classifieds. If you pick up a sinking version of a swimbait make sure you have a lure retriever. Hope this helps.

New Shimanos At Tackle Warehouse
Really disappointing that the Chronarch name was dragged through the mud too. The good news is it is a competitive market and it will allow me to spend my dollars elsewhere.

Agreed, but the handle is on the wrong side.

Of course the Zillion is going to be superior to a Curado. It cost $100 more! As far as no competition for Daiwa at the top of the line I have to disagree. Shimano makes a lot of high end reels that will compete with any reel on the market. I give Daiwa a ton credit for produce quality reels with a lot of bling, but I have always preferred Shimano's.

I own a couple cores. My comment had nothing to do with the Core but rather the Curado and chronarch line.

New Dobyns Rod Series
That rod is hideous.

I am a Shimano diehard and I will not be buying this reel(maybe I will pick one up on clearance in a few years). It bothers me that they downgraded Chronarch into a Curado E remake. The Chronarch is supposed to represent a touch of class. Why not just keep the current Chronarch and release an MG version? People loved the Chronarch MGs! They really seemed to miss the mark similar to when they released the Curado D (silver ones). Come on Shimano I expect better.

Storm "pre Rapala" Questions
Although I have caught fish on both there is a reason that these old warts fetch a premium price. They are fish catching machines especially the old suspending warts.

Shimano Discontinuing E Series?
Well I guess I will grab a Curado E.
